EASTER OFFER

The offer of our Easter pension includes 4 days / 3 nights accommodation with traditional breakfast from April 22 to April 25. The pension is rented to a single group at the price of 350 lei / person / night.
There is no charge for children up to the age of 12 who sleep in bed with their parents.
Breakfast will be served in the form of platters with a wide range of products: lamb stew, Sibiu cheeses, red eggs and omelettes, homemade jams, cake, honey, coffee and tea.

In the village of Rod, every year, on the first day of Easter, the young people dress in traditional costumes specific to the border area of Sibiu. The bride and groom from the previous year gather vessels in the village cemetery - this is a unique custom in the area. There is also another traditional custom called "Myrrh-bearing". The custom is reminiscent of the biblical legend of the myrrh-bearers who went to anoint the body of Jesus with myrrh and found the tomb empty. Myrrh-bearers can only be children between the ages of 7 and 12, considering that they must be virgins. The practice of this custom takes place in the village church, after the service on the night of the Resurrection. The roles of "thieves" belong to the boys, who play Jesus, the Angel and the Hundred.
